SEOUL, March 13, 2024 — Genesis announced Wednesday that the brand claimed six accolades at this year’s iF Design awards spanning several categories — Communication, Service Design, User Interface (UI), Professional Concept and Interior Architecture.

The Genesis CMF Experience took home two awards in the Service Design and Communication category each, while the MY GENESIS app led the way in Apps/Software category. Moreover, the Genesis Panoramic Infotainment System and Genesis X Convertible Concept received recognition in the Automotive UI and Convertible Electric Vehicle Concept category, respectively.

Given the crucial role of CMF, Genesis’ CMF Experience was designed to be a central component of the Genesis showrooms. Visitors are escorted to a specially designed wooden drawers, which contain an eclectic display of various color and material samples used in Genesis vehicles.

In addition, a delicately crafted box consisting of transportable trays, dubbed a “mobile kit,” allows these material samples to be hand-carried with great ease. The overarching design concept of the CMF installation is minimalistic, reflecting Genesis’ design principle of "Beauty of White Space" inspired by traditional Korean design.

My GENESIS app, which was recognized for its user-friendly interface, tailors to the user’s preferences and behavior. Introduced in May 2023, the app seamlessly integrates Genesis’ five digital services into one unified platform so that customers can access various driving-related features, such as personal driving data, membership details, diverse lifestyle content and the store, with exceptional convenience and ease.

The Genesis Panoramic Infotainment System was acknowledged in the Automotive UI category for its seamless user interface, affording customers the most immersive experience both inside and outside the vehicle.

The Genesis X Convertible Concept added another win to the list of awards in the Professional Concept category. As the brand’s first convertible concept, the X Convertible epitomizes Genesis' "Athletic Elegance" design language, manifested prominently through its distinctive two-line architecture and lighting signature inspired by the Genesis Crest Grille

In the Mobility Show category, the Genesis Core Zone at Seoul Mobility Show 2023 was awarded top honors for showcasing Genesis' distinctive design identity.

The iF Design Awards, hosted by iF International Forum Design GmbH, is widely recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions. This year’s winners were selected among 10,800 entries from 72 countries by a jury of experts. The awards ceremony will be held during iF Design Award Night 2024 in Berlin on April 29.

GENESIS WINS TWO 2023 RED DOT DESIGN AWARDS FOR BRANDS AND COMMUNICATION DESIGN

SEOUL, Aug. 15, 2023 — Genesis announced on Tuesday its dual wins at the 2023 Red Dot Design Award in the Brands & Communication Design discipline. The Genesis booth at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show and the newly launched ‘MY GENESIS’ app each earned recognition in the Exhibition Design category and Apps category, respectively, for showcasing Genesis' distinctive design identity.

At the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show, Genesis showcased the X Concept Trilogy — the Genesis X Concept, Genesis X Speedium Coupe, and Genesis X Convertible — in its booth that featured a hanging art installation inspired by the roof tiles of traditional Korean houses, or giwa. Crafted from 900 pieces of eco-friendly recycled acrylics, this installation embodies the graceful curves of traditional Korean rooftops. Complementing this installation, digital windows reminiscent of Korean architectural motifs portrayed the four seasons of the year, reflecting Genesis’ distinctly Korean influences.

Genesis also received a distinction in the same discipline with its ‘MY GENESIS’ app launched this May. This app integrates the capabilities of five existing apps — former MY GENESIS, Genesis Connected Services, Genesis Digital Key, Genesis CarPay, and Genesis Built-in Cam — into a single platform. This integration offers an improved user interface, allowing customers to effortlessly access a multitude of features, including vehicle purchase information, maintenance, control, and convenience services, within a single app.

The Red Dot Design Award stands as a premier design competition with a history spanning over six decades, alongside the iF Design Award and the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA®). It attracts around 20,000 annual submissions across three disciplines: Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concept.

This year’s award adds to Genesis’ history of Red Dot wins for excellence in design

SEOUL, Sept. 7, 2021 — Genesis announced that it has taken home a Red Dot Award in Brands & Communication Design for its My Genesis app, the brand’s personalized mobile service application, at the 2021 Red Dot Award.

‘My Genesis’ is a personalized mobile service application that provides comprehensive information and services for vehicle management as well as personalized vehicle analysis data. To deliver services optimized for personal user experience, the app offers not only insights for safe driving based on its driving data, but also information ranging from expenses for car maintenance, to schedules of part replacement, and one-on-one butler services.

Jury at this year’s Red Dot Award gave the application high praise for integrating personalized data into its design. The app shows users an exact image of their vehicle model down to their specifications and color, and provides real-time weather and time zone information right on their mobile device based on their location.

‘My Genesis’ also received positive reviews for providing seamless ease of use for drivers, allowing them to check up-to-date information on car maintenance while applying for all necessary services within the application in just three touches. It also enables drivers to manage their vehicles easily and efficiently, automatically calculating their gas expenses through its data alliance with gas companies.

Currently, the ‘My Genesis’ app boasts a 4.9 customer rating in Apple's App Store, receiving positive reviews for its exceptional design and ease of use.

Launched in 1955, the Red Dot Award are considered one of the world’s top three design competitions, along with the iF and IDEA Design Awards. Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany hosts the awards every year, judging entries for Product Design, Brand & Communication, and Design Concept.

With this victory for the ‘My Genesis’ app, Genesis continues its run of award wins from the Red Dot Award for its excellence in design. In 2020, it took home four Red Dot award: an Interface Design award for its ‘Copper Design’ Infotainment System, a Retail Design – Showroom award for its Genesis Studio in Hanam, a Spatial Communication - Light installations award for its G90 model, and an Event Design award for its Mint Concept. In 2018, Genesis also earned “Best of the Best” at the Red Dot Award with Genesis Gangnam for Retail Design, and with Genesis Sound for Sound Design.
