CHEONAN, Korea, Oct. 25, 2026 — The 2026 Genesis Championship came to an end at the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in Cheonan, Korea, where Japan’s Yuto Katsuragawa claimed his second win since joining the DP World Tour. The tournament brought global audiences together, attracting approximately 30,000 spectators on site.
Katsuragawa won the title with a score of 13-under 271, taking home a $680,000 cash prize and a GV80 Hybrid, along with two-year tournament exemptions across both tours. The 28-year-old was also awarded 1,300 KPGA TOUR Genesis Points and 835 DP World Tour Race to Dubai Ranking points.
“I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to Genesis, the tournament's title partner, and to everyone involved," said Katsuragawa. "I would love to drive the GV80 Hybrid as my personal car in Japan.”
The Genesis Championship, launched in 2017, is a tournament that Genesis has been sponsoring as a title partner to support the development of Korean men's professional golf and the growth of its players. This year marks the event's 10th anniversary. Since 2024, it has been co-sanctioned by the KPGA TOUR and the DP World Tour, and with a total prize purse of $4 million, it boasts the largest purse on the KPGA TOUR calendar.
Along with nine Genesis cars displayed throughout the course, including the GV90 Neolun and GV80 Hybrid, this year’s tournament featured a Genesis Magma Racing zone where the #19 GMR-001 Hypercar was on display.
In addition to local delicacies offered in the food zone, spectators spent time at the Fan Village, where they were able to enjoy a variety of brand experiences. This year’s village offered a wide array of family-friendly activities, including a kids’ golf zone where children took free golf lessons and an autograph zone where kids received autographs from players.
Genesis also operated exclusive hospitality spaces, including the "Genesis Suite" and the "Genesis Son-nim Lounge," delivering a distinctive brand experience to select Genesis owners. In line with Genesis’ philosophy of providing thoughtful care to both players and caddies, Genesis continued the tradition of the Players and Caddies Café, where players and caddies could rest and recharge.
Following the championship, Genesis will return to the green next month at the 2026 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship as the official vehicle sponsor.
